Toads on the move!

Coldharbour toads are on the move to their breeding pond between the Plough and the Church. Amorous croaking couples and singletons will be crossing the road on warm evenings from dusk onwards, so please drive slowly and don't squash them! We are very lucky to have this spring phenomenon in our midst, common toads are endangered due to habitat loss and they have had a bad time the last few years with the very long cold winters, many will have died in hibernation. If you see them, please do move them over to the pond side of the road.
