Parrot's Prize Winning Pies at the British Pie Awards
'You can't imagine the satisfaction that can be gotten from throwing a pie into someone’s face.' Emma Thompson
Well Emma, whilst we can think of a few deserving faces, that would be a terrible waste of our AWARD WINNING pies.
For the second year in a row The Butchers Hall at the Parrot have won 2 medals at The Great British Pie Competition in Melton Mowbray (the undisputable home of the pie!)
Gold for our Middlewhite Pork Stroganoff
Silver for our Etherley Farm Chicken and MarsalaThe awards are now in their sixth year and aim to celebrate all that is wonderful about the Great British Pie and the people that are passionate about these humble pastry concoctions (or pitaphiles if you’ve come over all classical).
We make lots of lovely pies every day at The Butchers Hall which we sell in the shop and pub to our ravenous public. All pies are available in any size and we can even make them in your dishes if you wish to pretend you are the author of a medal standard pastry.
Maybe we could rustle up a few Ginsters for Emma to throw!
