Cricket Club News
The Summer will soon be here bringing with it the cricket season. Forest Green Cricket Club have games arranged for all the Sundays between the beginning of May and the end of September, except 7th July, Village Day. Following the governments change to an organ donation opt out system FGCC have adopted the same approach. If you live in the village but wish to opt OUT of being selected for the team please let Malcolm know (01306 621225). ONLY KIDDING(!) but we do need more players so if you fancy a friendly game give Malcolm a call.
The club is holding its Annual Dinner in the Village Hall on Saturday 18th May kindly catered by Di and Katherine. Tickets are £10 and anyone is welcome to come along in support of the club.
In addition, inspired by the fantastic success of the Cafe on the Green, the cricket club will be opening ‘The Bar on the Green’ on Friday evenings throughout the season. Villagers will be welcomed to the Pavilion for a drink at club prices while their children can play on the outfield.
